The Next Chapter

Many have asked me to continue the blog at least for a little while. Rather than adding to Lillian's blog, I've started a new blog fittingly called "The Next Chapter". The link is http://www.lori-thenextchapter.blogspot.com/. Time will tell whether I can come up with enough to say to justify a blog. For now, you will all get the opportunity to be my therapists as I stumble through the start of the next chapter of my life.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I am thrilled. I was going to suggest that you do this very thing. I think it will be good for you to write about what you are going through and it will help all of us reading it, too. I'm so proud of you and Jeff as you start this "next chapter". Somehow I think it will hold wonderful things for you. --Love, Mom

Dear Lori -
Thank you for continuing to share your story/journey with the rest of the world. I do believe that when God closes a door, He opens a window. Even when the door seems bigger than a barn door and the window smaller than a key hole - He does have plans for your life.
I hope He has wonderful things in store for you both.
With Love and Prayers,
Leigh Ann

Lori...I am so glad you are willing to share the "next chapter" of your life with all of us. You and Jeff are such remarkable people and I did't want to lose track of you. Thank you for this gift.

Lori,

I am sorry to respond so late. Shannon and I follow our site closely but rarely have had the energy to properly respond. We are so consumed in our fight that little is left. I have cried many times reading lillian's outcome. We have met many strong families fighting pediatric cancer. Very few of them were in the brain cancer battle. Of those we met who were, none of the children are alive today. My heart breaks and I try to feel blessed that our CLaire is here. It is hard. We still live in fear of the next MRI, unusual behavior, etc. I wish you strength and positive energy in your recovery.
